Subject: [kvvsn] KV Reunion has successfully concluded!
Dear Friends,
All good things must come to an end, but they do leave behind memories that linger-on for a life time.
One such event was the 2nd reunion function that was spread over a two day period from 24th to 25th Dec 05. On 24th, The event was Presided over by the Chief Guest AVM, A.K. Shyam, SAASO, Group Captain Ghelot, the current Principle and Guest of Honor Mrs. Alka Srinivas, President of the Alumni, Dr. Jharia, Vice President Shri Dinesh Chabbra, Secretary Mr. Prachait Saxena, and Executive member representative, Mrs. Aprna Galgalikar.
The traditional Sarasvati Vandana, the Lighting of the Lamp, the KV geet signaled the beginning of a great feast and party over two days! The speeches began, and already one could find friends hugging and greeting one another at the ground! What a sight! Prachait had mentioned once during his speech that he had targeted at least 2 people to cry out of happiness in the first meet and for this meet He had planned to get as many as 20 people to shed tears of joy! Did it happen???
Hell yes! Many many ex-students meeting their friends after a gap of 20 - 30 years, long lost friends meeting again and the wonderful, un-controlled and respectful feelings that surged from a student when s/he met their teachers! Gosh, many more than 20 had tears.
So many people have put in their hard work into this Alumni and to organize this function, let me not mention the Alumni board here they have done the most, but especially Mr. Mahesh Nangia, for his contribution ( Rs.60,000/) towards main sponsorship. It is with the blessings of such people that a GREAT 2 day function was achieved!
The first day was mostly formal as far as functions are concerned. The second day saw many performances from senior and young Alumni members. The music, the food, the bon-fire, every thing Just Perfect!
Hats off to every one who took time out from their schedule to be at the function. It is understandable that many could not attend, owing to various reasons. However, I am sure the ball has been set in motion and the spirit of this Reunion will unite all the Ex KVVSN guys and gals once again, in bigger numbers in 2006.
I am sure you will get to know many things that I have left out from this email for Prachait to inform us all via formal email from the desk of the secretary. I could not contain my excitement and needed to dash-in a few words, that's just what I did in this email.
Best Regards,
Yogesh
PS: Prachait, I guess now you should sleep like a log for a couple of days, great job Man!
