Strength & Weakness -- Nice Story

A 10-year-old boy decided to study judo despite the fact that he had lost his left arm in a devastating car accident.

The boy began lessons with an old Japanese judo master. The boy was doing well, so he couldn't understand why, after three months of training the master had taught him only one move.

25 Reasons Alcohol Should Be Served at Work

1. It's an incentive to show up.
2. It reduces stress.
3. It leads to more honest communications.
4. It reduces complaints about low pay.
5. It cuts down on time off because you can work with a hangover.
6. Employees tell management what they think, not what managers want to
hear.
7. It helps save on heating costs in the winter.
8. It encourages carpooling.
9. Increase job satisfaction because if you have a bad job, you don't care.
10. It eliminates vacations because people would rather come to work.
11. It makes fellow employees look better.

Appraisal and Resignation

A newly joined trainee engineer asks his boss " whats the meaning of an
appraisal ? "

Boss : "do you know the meaning of resignation? "

Trainee : "yes I do "

Boss : "So let me make you understand what an appraisal is by comparing it
with resignation"

Comparison Study: Appraisal and Resignation

In Appraisal meeting they will speak only about your weakness, errors, and
failures.

In resignation meeting they will speak only about your strengths, past
achievements and success.

Ant and the Grasshopper

CLASSIC VERSION...

The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house
and laying up supplies for the winter.

The grasshopper thinks he's a fool and laughs and dances and plays the
summer away.

Come winter, the ant is warm and well fed. The grasshopper has no food or
shelter so he dies out in the cold.

Once upon a time, there was a software engineer who used to develop programs
on his Pentium machine, sitting under a tree on the banks of a river. He
used to earn his bread by selling those programs in the Sunday market. One
day, while he was working, his machine tumbled off the table and fell in
the  river. Encouraged by the Panchatantra story of his childhood (the
woodcutter  and the axe), he started praying to the River Goddess. The River
Goddess  wanted to test him and so appeared only after one month of rigorous
prayers.

I have three visions for India. In 3000 years of our history people
from all over the world have come and invaded us, captured our
lands, conquered our minds. From Alexander onwards, The Greeks, the
Turks, the Moguls, the Portuguese, the British, the French, the
Dutch, all of them came and looted us, took over what was ours. Yet
we have not done this to any other nation. We have not conquered
anyone. We have not grabbed their land, their culture, and their

Hi all

Anamica has made an important point about payment by people living abroad.
One method is a telegraphic transfer, but as pointed out by Anamica, the
small sum may not be worth transfering that way as the fee for transfering
may be more than the actual amount. The other way which I plan to use is
having a Citibank Rupees cheque account. This way you can pay from this
account by cheque. The other advantage of having this a/c is you have money
to use in India when you visit. What do others living abroad think?
